Station 1: Weather station for plant protection and irrigation
A weather station located in the field, used for irrigation management and plant disease forecast. For example iMETOS^® ag. It is working with solar energy 365 days a year and transfers the data at a pre-defined interval to the website www.fieldclimate.com. As a user you have access to all data in real time and receive all important informations concerning disease risks and water use day by day. These informations are vital for state of the art, environmentally friendly plant protection, water saving, irrigation management (ET, soil moisture information) and in situations of danger (frost, flood etc.). Based on the data you can save time, money and protect the resources and environment.

Station 2: Sprayer equipped with iMETOS^® TRACK
iMETOS^® TRACK supplies data continuously online via GPRS to www.fieldclimate.com, where you are informed of the weather during the operation, how much work has been done and when that work is executed. This is giving you transparency and security and saving costs due to better pro-active management decisions. Until now this has not been easily available.

The combination of station 1 and 2
If the data from iMETOS^® TRACK and iMETOS^® ag, two independent units, are integrated into a smart database like www.fieldclimate.com is providing, a new virtual device is created. You have fantastic new applications. At once the environmental island solution is changing to an integrated one.

The following data of the field data sent by the weather station are used: wind speed, wind direction, temperature and relative humidity. Of the iMETOS^® TRACK these data are used: GPS position, driving speed, status information of the vehicle, temperature, relative humidity and vapour pressure deficit. www.fieldclimate.com adds to these values information of field size and calculates the real wind speed. These values format a threshold value to be sent to the sprayer driver, manager etc. to alert him/ them about potential spray drift risks.

Alarms are sent to mobile phones or PDAs by SMS. The time delay between threshold trigger and warning is minimal. At the same time the system is creating all necessary documentation for full traceability regarding "good agriculture practice". The system is scalable at any time and can work in the future virtually with ISO BUS spray controller in order to make intelligent application maps etc. Similar applications and integrations are done in other segments of agriculture with regards to animal welfare, storage monitoring (Mycotoxine warning) as well as grain drying systems.

www.fieldclimate.com is an open source development. The complete source code is available for system partners free of charge. We are looking for system partners to integrate our solutions in other projects and are encouraging intelligent partnerships.

For the integration of data into other web applications we have made several interfaces like: SOAP, XML etc. The current website is available in 17 language mutations. Use of www.fieldclimate.com for clients of Pessl Instruments if free of charge. Many interfaces in program platforms like ProPlant, Dacom, Sentek etc. are available.
